It was a momentous day in the Legislature as Minister Dean announced the Indigenous Self-Government in Child and Family Services Amendment Act, proposed legislation that implements our government’s Declaration Act commitment to work with Indigenous partners to reform the child welfare system and reduce the overrepresentation of Indigenous children and youth in care.
