As we continue to watch the domino effect taking place in the United States with the overturning of the landmark Roe v. Wade ruling, we acknowledge the horrific turning back of the clock on women’s rights. Access to safe abortion is a human right, and a fundamental part of health care. We are taking steps in B.C, including providing universal, no-cost access to medical abortions since 2018. We know there is more work to do, especially to improve access in northern and rural areas. We will never back down from supporting the right to choose.
